Chapter 211 of Jujutsu Kaisen takes us on a time-jump to the present, where the aftermath of the foreign military invasion and the intense fight between Kenjaku, Choso, and Yuki are still fresh in the air. With Maki now part of Yuji’s group, she brings the shocking news of Yuki and Tengen’s fates from Choso. The dust has settled on the non-sorcerer soldier situation, indicating that Kenjaku’s plans for a merger with Tengen should be in full swing.
However, the question remains – why hasn’t the merger begun? The streets of Japan may seem calm and normal, but there’s a sense of unease lurking beneath the surface, with some people falling ill. Megumi posits that either an essential piece of the puzzle is missing, hindering the merger’s start, or Kenjaku is holding back for unknown reasons. As the events unfold, we are left to ponder the motivations behind Kenjaku’s actions and what they could mean for the future.

As the group reflects on the events that have transpired, Maki realizes that the only silver lining in the situation is the safety of the back of the Prison Realm. With Angel now on their side, the group sets their sights on freeing Gojo, who has been imprisoned for over two weeks within the story and two years for readers of Jujutsu Kaisen. The recent demise of Yuki serves as a reminder of how challenging it is to defeat Kenjaku, making Gojo’s liberation a top priority.
The group decides that their next step is to create a rule that allows players to withdraw from the Culling Game. This would ensure Tsumiki’s safety, as she would no longer be a player in the death battles. However, Kogane denies Megumi’s proposal and instead suggests that players may only withdraw if they invite a new player from outside the colony as a substitute and spend 100 points. Although Megumi is hesitant, as this would require killing at least twenty players to earn those points, they ultimately agree to Kogane’s suggestion to protect Tsumiki.
Fortunately, the group has enough points to cover the cost, and Ijichi agrees to be Tsumiki’s substitute. When Tsumiki enters the colony, she is transferred to a random location, yet somehow finds herself immediately at Megumi and Yuji’s location. This is a strange occurrence, as the barrier typically transfers players to different locations, separating them upon entry. Despite this mysterious turn of events, the group presses on, determined to bring their mission to a successful conclusion.
